Dana and Derek Cappiello
Intero 1580 Canada Lane Woodside, Ca 94062
Dana is a native San Franciscan who works as a realtor for Intero Prestigio based in Woodside. Her real estate work focuses on both international and domestic buyers of large projects and residences.
Of the 2400+ agents in the Intero corporation Dana for the past two years has been awarded for achieving the largest number of high end listings.
Dana took a two year break from her real estate sales career in 2012 to work in East Palo Alto where she was head of community development for Page Mill Properties. In this capacity she worked closely with the community to install needed resources such as study halls, a regulation athletic field, gardens and educational programs for the residents. She oversaw the renovations of over 100 buildings and over 800 units to give the people better living standards, which were safe, clean and designed to better accommodate families.
Prior to her real estate career Dana was the owner/designer of Dax & Coe, an apparel brand specializing in maternity and private label development. She designed and imported clothing both in the Far East and on the West Coast for labels such as Macys, Target, adidas, and her own label.
Dana’s passion is working in the not for profit arena. She was the co founder of The Until There’s a Cure Foundation, the AIDS bracelet. Working as a volunteer for over 12 years, she was instrumental in raising over $500 million for AIDS research, care, education and drug development.
UTAC was the initial funder for the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, which was developed as a result of a collaboration with the Rockefeller Foundation and the AIDS Vaccine Advocacy Coalition. The Gates Foundation now funds these two non-profits as their premier AIDS beneficiaries.
She also sits on the boards of Project Happiness and the Rich May Foundation.
